Royal Television Society Awards 2009

The Electric Cinema Film Orchestra played at the 2009 Midland Royal Television Society Awards accompanied by pianist and presenter Myleene Klass. The theme of the event was the evolution of TV to coincide with Darwin’s Bicentenary.

The ECFO, at full orchestral strength thanks to the assistance of the Birmingham Conservatoire opened with the Jurassic Park theme specially arranged for the event by Louis Clark. The theme segued into Misirlou, the theme from Pulp Fiction, along to a cut sequence featuring the best of Midland’s TV.

The finale of the evening was a rousing rendition of The Good The Bad and The Ugly, with Myleene on Piano and a standing ovation to complete the night.
