FAQs

LampCan I watch any film I want?
The short answer is 'Yes, probably'. However, there are always exceptions - some films are no longer available and very new films that are still playing in cinemas are difficult to obtain for single screenings.  Please contact us to find out if we can play the film you want to watch.
What do I get for the standard hire fee?
The fee entitles you to exclusivity of the screen, use of the projector, a microphone for speeches and a technician to assist you during the event.
Is it possible to have our corporate logo projected onto the screen?
Yes. We can project any image/slide show onto our screens. The best way to achieve this is to burn a single framed slide show onto a DVD-R and we’ll do the rest. We also have full production facilities here and can help create presentations, slide-shows and DVD authoring for an additional cost.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
It is possible for you to arrange your own catering arrangements, although we will charge a corkage fee for any food and drink we do not provide. Every event is different, so please contact us about this. We’re fine with birthday cakes though!
Can we hire the screen for just one hour?
Due to the additional administration and staff costs for special events, there is a minimal hire fee of two hours, although you obviously don't have to use the room for the entire time.
Is there additional charge if we want a microphone?
We provide the use of one microphone if needed as part of the hire fee. We have a comprehensive collection of PA equipment and more complicated set ups can incur extra charges.
Do you have Wi-Fi access?
Yes, we can provide this, although due to different operating systems and wireless hardware we do not guarantee connection.
Are children allowed in the cinema?
We frequently have children’s parties. Children are allowed in the
cinema as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
When do we pay?
In order to secure a booking everyone must pay a deposit that is
worked out against the total hire fee. For individuals, the remaining
balance must then be paid before or on the day of the event. We
do allow some companies to invoice us and settle the balance after
the event, although this is down to the manager's discretion. We
take credit/debit cards, BACS or cheques.
Does the cinema have disabled access?
The cinema does have disabled access to Screen One and ground floor
disabled facilities. We can arrange a ramp for wheelchair access up the
main steps.  Unfortunately, due to the construction of the building, there
is no wheelchair access to Screen Two.
