Popping the question

Not only do we host weddings here at The Electric, but we're also a great place to propose to your intended partner. That's exactly what Andrew Parkes did on Friday 20th January, when he hired out screen 2 for a special afternoon that culminated in a proposal to his girlfriend Laura.

First the pair arrived and sat down to watch Cinema Paradiso in Screen 2 with a bottle of champagne, which was swiftly followed by a short film called White Diamond (click here to see the film in full) that Andrew had made with his friend Andrew Childs, who runs a media company called Clockwork Cloud (click here for more on Andrew's work).

Showing Andrew finding the ring and getting permission from Laura's father, it all ended with Andrew's big proposal - and she said yes! It was a great afternoon, and just another example of the different kind of events which happen here at The Electric every week.
