Shock & Gore 'shorts' list

The final shortlist has been decided for the 2012 Shock & Gore short film competition, the winner of which will be revealed on the evening of Sat July 7th at the all-night event. The five films shortlisted are - 

1) The Intruder! (dir: Majid Alansari, United Arab Emirates, 18m) - two people face off against a toy robot in this inventive sci-fi short

2) Whom God Helps (dir: Louis Mansfield, USA, 16m) - a young couple are manipulated by the archangel of death in this powerful piece 

3) Baby-Sitting (dir: Lucas Masson, France, 20m) - a very gory short that features a young woman's bizarre baby-sitting experiences

4) Just The 2 Of Us (dir: Mat Brooks, UK, 13m) - dark comedy about the strange lives of Al and his agoraphobic flatmate Michael as they strive for home domination.

5) Thumb Snatchers From The Moon Cocoon (dir: Brad Schaffer, USA, 7m) - animated short about a short tempered Texas sheriff who takes on thumb-snatching invaders
