On the Southside

Big thanks to the Southside Birmingham initiative, who've supported this year's 2012 Shock & Gore Festival by contributing funds that have helped increase the festival's awareness across the city and beyond. 

Southside is a collection of bars, restaurants and other venues within the city centre, including places like the Hippodrome, the Gay Village, the O2 Academy and, of course, The Electric itself. We're all working together to make Southside a vibrant and welcoming quarter within the city, and events like Shock & Gore are a large part of that.

This year's Shock & Gore festival has already seen a dramatic increase in people attending, plus it expanded from a three day weekend in 2011 to this year's week-long event.
