Make room for The Room
It's back. The cinematic travesty that The Washington Post memorably labelled 'a train wreck of almost incomprehensible proportions' returns to The Electric on Friday August 17th, as we screen Tommy Wiseau's 'so-bad-it's-good' feature debacle as part of our monthly cult film night.
Made in 2003, The Room has grown into the very definition of a cult hit, audiences embracing it for its atrocious acting, nonsensical storyline and bizarre non sequiturs. Like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, audience interaction is positively encouraged during screenings, as viewers throw plastic spoons and shout out favourite lines.
If you've never experienced The Room before, now's the chance to make up for it with this special summer screening, where we'll also be offering some delicious glasses of scotchka (it makes sense once you've seen the film). To book tickets for August 17th, click here.
