The Lost Boys and [REC] Genesis

The Shock & Gore festival might not be back until Jul 2013, but the organisers are busy all year round planning special screenings here at The Electric, and their next event is a double presentation happening on Friday September 14th.

First up at 8.45pm is the third instalment of the acclaimed Spanish horror series [REC], namely [REC] Genesis, which sees the virus of the first two films escape into the outside world and infect a wedding party. The film is getting a very limited theatrical release, so we're very pleased to be one of the few cinemas in the country showing it on the big screen. Just click here to book.

Following that at 10.45pm is a late night presentation of cult classic The Lost Boys, showing off a 35mm print from the film's original 1980s release. The story of two brothers targeted by the undead in a sleepy town, the film's fanbase has grown massively over the years, so make sure to book early by clicking here.
