We've been screening Tommy Wiseau's The Room here at The Electric on and off for over five years now, and it's become a beloved part of our programme - which makes it all the more exciting to be able to offer this special double bill celebrating the awful genius of The Room, routinely acclaimed as the worst movie ever made.

The evening begins with brand new feature comedy The Disaster Artist, directed by and starring James Franco, who transforms the tragicomic true story of aspiring filmmaker and infamous Hollywood outsider Tommy Wiseau and his awesome disasterpiece The Room (outlined in Greg Sestero's bestselling tell-all book) into a celebration of friendship, artistic expression and dreams pursued against insurmountable odds.

Following a half hour interval, it's plastic spoons at the ready for the film that started it all - The Room, a bizarre, genuinely hilarious relationship drama that has slowly and steadily become a bona fide cult classic thanks to a legion of fans who have come to love its bizarre plot, terrible acting and strange editing. Over the years, audience interaction has become a big part of The Room's appeal, so expect fellow audience members (some possibly wearing tuxedos) to shout out lines and throw plastic spoons at the screen.

A night of disastrous cinema sure to go down in Electric Cinema infamy, this is one double bill you won't want to miss! Oh, hi Mark.
